Well, David started a new job in February. He is now with Coastal Community Bank and really likes who he is working with. All I can say about that, is hallelujah I am not living in Bonifay. For those of you that really know me, I have nothing against Bonifay (or any other really small town), but I am not sure I could have lived there. Savannah made it through the 3rd grade and will be starting the 4th in a new school. She is really excited about the change and can't wait to get started. I went back to school to get my teaching certificate and completed the coursework and exams with flying colors, but unfortunately Bay County has cut teaching positions due to budget cuts, so I am not sure I will be able to get a job. I am not worried though, if I don't find a full-time position, I will substitute teach until something comes along.

Our summer has been great so far! Savannah went away to camp for two weeks in Alabama and loved every minute of it. With the horseback riding, water skiing, and big slides how could she not...in fact I think I want to go next year.

David and I had a summer camp of our own. We went to California and made our way through the wine country for our 10th Anniversary trip. It was beautiful and I can't wait to go back. We went on a hot air balloon ride which was spectacular and Alyssa you will love this...David and I biked through Nappa for a total of 20 miles. I know not really something I would normally do, but it was an awesome way to see the land.

Next, Savannah's favorite cousin Meg is coming to spend two weeks with us. She cannot wait to spend time with her...I know because she tells me every day! And then, I guess it will be back to school (hopefully for both of us).

Let's get this thing started!!

Well, I guess I am going to finally try this blog thing. I am certainly not a huge fan of talking about myself, but maybe this will be a good way for my friends and family to keep track of what is going on in the Harless world.

So, here goes... David has a new position with the bank. He is now the Chief Credit Officer - I think that is just a fancy title for window washer, but who knows. So far, he is really enjoying the new job, so hopefully that will continue.

Savannah got through Christmas and of course did very well with Santa. So far she is doing very well in school and seems to really enjoy school. Unfortunately, she is totally boy crazy, but I have a feeling that this is just the beginning.

As for me, there isn't a lot to report. I have recently made the decision to go back to school to get my teaching certificate. I would like to teach High School English when I finish and am really excited about the opportunity to be apart of educating generations to come. I know...it's cheesy, but it's true.

So, I guess that's all for now. I will try to keep this up, but I can't make any promises.
